This is my hip/house/funk/electro mix. When you listen to the first track, you'll understand the Boba Fette reference. The funniest song I've ever heard by MC Chris, posing as Boba. Throw in my fave acid jazz outfit (D-Influence), Serge Gainsberg, and topping it off with Fat Jon's hip hop outfit , Five Deez. I dare you not to shake your buttocks (no, I TRIPLE DOG DARE you). In the words of Romanthony .."Are you a wallflower, or a floorpiece?" Enjoy.

Every time I download some thing of yours, I think "OK. He can't do better than the last one." I have a hard time moving on to other stuff, once I get hooked on a piece and 'Boba' was no exception. Judging by the lack of commentary here, I'd give this the 'Sleeper of 2004' award. Another enjoyable well-mixed piece!
Thanks again!

Thank you very much for your comment. This mix was fun to do and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have you checked Crowd Pleasers, cuz I think you'd enjoy that one as well, it's my fave so far that has been posted.

Dood, this is too much. I downloaded this mix off StatusKuo a little while ago. Didn't see much more until I searched on your name in Google. (Now you KNOW you've arrived when people start searching for your name on the web! What, No papparazzi there yet?)

Anyway, I think I hit the motherlode (should be spelt MotherLOAD in this instance) I love the funky, not-too-deep, souly type of stuff and most of your shit is right up my alley. GREAT WORK. I AM A HOOJ FAN.

Most humble thanks! I'm glad you went out of your way to find my mixes, and I hope you check out my cohorts out b00mb0x. I'd never heard of Statukuo, but checked it out and it's a pretty cool site. I love deep house, but as you can tell I'm not a purist about it. Too many djs get so caught up in what's cool as opposed to what get's your butt wiggling. I think you need a combo of vocals, interesting melodies, and surprise tracks to keep people's interest. I love minimal tech, but when you play a dj set that's 6 hours (ie Beta Lounge) and you can't tell the difference between hour 1 or hour 5, then it's just wallpaper. Also, djs need to take more risks, because I get tires of hearing the same tracks in different order played by a multitude of djs. Dig in the crates and dollar bins to find something unique, or overlooked, or even well known but forgotten . So many tracks from my youth sound different now that I'm older and have listened to more music. Something I may have thought was ok or even annoying sounds fresh now. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your feedback. I liked this set and feel vindicated when I get comments like yours. Thanks
