Good concept...Plus good timing...a bit hursh in some spots...Need to spend a little more time on the skills of a Mixer...Not just inside the mind of a Mixer.. None the less, a good mix.

Thanks for all the comments, even the spam (Hey, any kind of attention is better than no attention at all). I must admit to being thrown a bit at the last comment though. I admit my mixing skills are pedestrian compared to most (beatmatching? what's that?), but I don't believe there should be any hard and fast rules when it comes to mixing. My mixes are rough around the edges, yes. I haven't really messed with any tracks, I just basically sequence stuff that I think will sound interesting next to each other. Throw in a few samples and that's it. There's no art to it really, I don't profess to being very talented at this, but I do think I've got an ear for what sounds good. Most of all, these mixes are fun to make. What other reason do I need to carry on?

Don't worry Frankie, some people like to scoff at Chardonnay but we all drink it!

Love the mix, it's champagne to my taste!!

It's all cool man...I really dig the things that you try to do, and often times, pull off in your mixes, I d/l them all.
But after listening to them, I think "Dj Frankie Pigeon would be full fledge it he worked on his skills. "

And my man. Don't ever really try to convince yourself that mixing is not an art. Everybody can't do it, like myself. But when I hear a great mix I know that I am listening to a great piece of art. It stands as a testament of place and time. Your time, Our time...Coming together from many places into one space. Only "ART" can do that.

Peace, and Stay Up.

Cheers for reassuring me guys. ;-)

Jamie - The fette's vette I used is the Good, Baddd & Ugly remix which can be found on the following page along with about 30 other remixes.

yeah sod the critics mate, this is a class mix, not a great lesson on how to use smooth transitions or on how to beat match..but then you dont have to follow the fat boy style, the main reasons I download a new mix/medley is for a sonic journey..and you have consistantly delivered very highly on that score.
viva pigeon !!!
