volume turned rite up Posted by: bong on August 4, 2005 11:28 AMThanks guys! As you can tell, my favorite tracks are from early rave and mid 90's hip hop. These are the tracks that I can play over and over and never get bored. The Blacksheep remix by Dave Morales made that song funnier and a damn catchy 4/4 house groove. Renegade Soundwave, what can I say but - they are awesome, and sorely missed (not a good live band, but studio wizards). For SUAD, get the " F**k Off and Die " compilation for timeless breaks with dub elements. Cabaret Voltaire's Ex is unherladed warm electro.Andronicus w/ the Daisy Dee sample is a constant rewind for me. Other tracks that I love that didn't make the mix would include LFO- Freeze, Lali Puna - 603, UR - Panic, HHFD - Total Confusion, FRD - Fingers in the Dyke, Model 500 - I Wanna Be There, MK - Burning (original), Bridgett Grace - Love to the Limit, Ultramarine - Lights in My Brain (Spooky remix), Lil Louis - Why'd U Fall, etc.... I'm a sucker for tracks from my early rave days. Posted by: Briscoe on August 6, 2005 05:40 AMFunny how working with our early favorites and influences seems to bring out the very best in ourselves (that's why I love doing it so much). Thanks for enriching this Geez with all this new music (to me) in such a creative way.
